I already have rear camber arms but they didn't even give me much camber (i was told i needed toe arms for more) It's usually a two person job to adjust the subframe and tighten it. I want better fitment they poke slightly and am eventually planning on.
How to Remove Rear Trailing Arms on VW Bug
Memories of rolling a vw beetle inspires me to build a camber compensator for the swing axle suspension on the renobug.
Yes you can change camber on the rear of your 71 bug, it is done by changing the position of the washers securing the diagonal arm to the frame
Wow, that a new one So you are saying that. In flipping the trailing arms it took out 98 percent of the camber when lowered When the car is raised up it does have some positive camber, but i figure the car will only be raised fully up to go over.
They have massive negative camber at the rear and most that i have seen run a small sway bar that has brackets made up that effectively mimic the standard mounting points of a z bar. But if your complete car is a lot lighter than the beetle, that setting may not work I have a 1 1/2 of camber shims in my upper control arms So if i took them out and shortened the lower an inch and a quarter i should be able to turn better when it's down and still align it.
Once you loosen the subframe, you're trying to correct both castor and camber at the same time because you have to loosen all of the bolts
